Saying Goodbye to Summer with Metisu

Dear Summer,

You did an amazing job these past three months. I’ve had my (few) trips to the beach and they were nothing short of awesome. I dipped my toes into the sand,  soaked in the sun, and the sea air just relaxed me entirely. I’ve had plenty cones of ice cream, swam in the pool like a guppy, sang along to songs in car rides. I met incredible people and bonded over the unbearable heat, melting together. I created great memories and I can’t wait until we meet again.

It’s now September and the days are growing less hot, the cool fall breeze is making its way in. Pumpkin Spice Lattes are officially back on the menu (though, I’m not a fan) and school is back in session. I’ve brought my boots out from the back of my closet and I’ve been making moves into dressing more in layers. I’m ecstatic to welcome Fall back into my life. I know I’ve mentioned it before, but I just love layers.

So why did I pick this dress in particular? To welcome in the cooler season of course! The dress has tree branches, which are bare (so I guess it signals for winter) and birds flying. I’m not particularly fond of winter, but fall has to come before then so it makes some sort of sense, I guess.

This dress is from Metisu and it sports a cute t-shirt design. The color is a pale pink (which is great because bright colors work more for summer time). I found the design of the trees and birds to be so unique and calming especially. It’s an intricate design, but it’s so simple at the same time.

So, who’s with me? Are you ready to say goodbye to Summer?

  1. I absolutely love this post. It almost made me sad that summer was leaving, but I’m truly ready for fall, so I can’t be too heartbroken! I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who isn’t a fan of the PSL haha! Yay for not being alone in that.
