Feeling Bold

The holidays are literally around the corner and I’ve been finding myself humming Christmas songs already. Talk about excited! The upcoming holidays have a huge significance this year. Aside from the given warmth and family bonding that comes with holiday season (yaaas it brings everyone together), it also marks the ending of my undergraduate career! I can’t believe I’ll be graduating in only a month away. I know a lot of you won’t believe or even agree with me when I say this, but I’m really going to miss school. #NERD

So I decided to sport this bold ruffle sleeved wrap blouse in preparation for the holiday season. Experimenting with bold statement pieces is awesome! This past year I’ve really learned to get out of my shell and be more comfortable in trying new things and just getting out there overall. I’ve experimented with certain colors that I normally don’t wear (like that mustard yellow you’ve seen previously) and here I am with a bold top! Silky fabric is certainly trending this fall because it not only is a chic look, but it also feels so lovely against the skin! Ruffles and unique sleeves have also debuted, so I felt that this top certainly brings out the best in all worlds. Plus on top of everything else, this is a wrap blouse so I felt that the tie around the waist definitely gives added dimension.

Paired with classic black culottes and lace up heels, I felt that this look was both comfy and chic at the same time. Since I was wearing such a bold top, I figured the simple black would compliment it and help bring attention to the blouse.

P.S. As you can see, my hair is now an ashy brown! I got rid of the minty green because I figured it was time for a change (plus I really didn’t like the green). I figured that I’d dip my toes back into the darker side in time for the transition from Fall to Winter! Darker tones definitely suit those seasons. What do you think?

  1. Oh girl you are completely slaying that terrific top!! I would never think to pick out a piece like that from a website, because of what a statement it is, but now that I’m seeing it on you, I’m starting to think I need to expand my options hehe! Love the fun style for the holidays!

It’s always good to step outside ur comfort zone from time to time:). I’ve been buying a ton of candles to get me all excited for the Holidays haha.
